I accept e-transfers as well as cash or cheques. I am unable to bill insurance companies directly, and I do not accept debit and credit cards.
Many medical insurance companies cover the cost of counselling. If you are covered by an extended health care plan through your employment, school, or a family member, I encourage you to check if you can be reimbursed for counselling services provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
Should poor financial health be a barrier for you to access counselling services, please reach out to me. I may be able to offer sliding-scale options, low or no-cost referrals, or free self-help resources.
As a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors, my aim is to meet and exceed the ethical guidelines provided by the BCACC.
I also aspire to provide services that are trauma-informed, culturally-responsive, and socially just. As such, I am committed to advancing my understanding, education, clinical application, and advocacy in the areas of mental health, poverty, colonization, racism, ableism, intersectional feminism, neurodiversity, 2SLGBTQ+, and other areas of marginalization.
I have experience working with a variety of populations and issues including the following:
personal growth
immigration
grief
relationship difficulties
2SLGBTQ+
ENM, poly, kink
I also hold a special interest in exploring the following:
